Our Story
Gospel Light Baptist Church is a thriving ministry in Eaton, Ohio. In the fall of 2015 Pastor Ben Myers, his wife Kayla, and their two children answered the call of God on their lives and began making plans to plant a church in Preble County.
On June 5, 2016 Gospel Light Baptist Church held their first service in the Preble County Senior Center building with over 100 people in attendance from their supporting churches and those from the Eaton area. In the spring of 2017, the opportunity to lease a large portion of the old L&M Products Building on N. Barron Street came available. Gospel Light leased there for over five years until the building was sold. Currently Gospel Light gathers for worship on Sundays at William Bruce Elementary School on Aukerman Street. We truly believe as a church that the "church" is not a building but people.
Shortly after starting the church, a 9-acre parcel of property came up for sale on East Ave. God provided for the church to purchase the land in 2018, and pay it off completely in 2019. Gospel Light by faith will be breaking ground on their future home in 2023!

Our Pastor
Pastor Ben Myers
Pastor Ben Myers grew up in Jamestown, Ohio and was saved at the age of eight. He graduated from Greeneview High School in 2006 and began working on staff at Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, Ohio. During his time at BBC Wilmington, he also attended Southern State Community College and graduated with a Business Degree, majoring in Real Estate.
In 2010, he and his wife Kayla were married and soon after moved to Washington Court House, Ohio to serve at Anchor Baptist Church. There Pastor Myers worked as the Associate Pastor overseeing children’s ministry, youth ministry, bus ministry, and assisting in administration.
In the fall of 2015 God called the Myers Family to plant a church in Eaton, Ohio. They answered that call and began Gospel Light Baptist Church on June 5, 2016. Pastor Ben, his wife Kayla, and their daughters Mollie, Macy, and Rylee are excited to be used of God and have a desire to reach Preble County for Christ.
